Wes Farrell
Wes Farrell was a songwriter whose four-decade career included penning the iconic Hang On Sloopy.
Born in New York City, he entered the music business as a songwriter at the Brill Building in Manhattan, writing scores of top-10 singles, including Come A Little Bit Closer (recorded by Jay and the Americans in 1964) and Come On Down To My Boat (recorded by Every Mother's Son in 1967). and Boys, recorded by the Beatles on their first American album.
